t's time to get creative...In this friendly and interactive Christmas workshop you will learn how to adorn your front door with a traditional Christmas wreath handmade by you. After learning how to create your natural frame for you wreath you will then select fresh foliage ferns, acorns, holly and berries to create you decorations to fill the frame. You can add your own decorative Christmas baubles and ribbons to give it that personal touch.

Course aim

To recycle all those fallen branches and twigs to create a natural frame for a christmas wreath that you can use and revamp each year

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • recycle the fallen twigs and branches & fresh foliage to create a frame for a xmas wreath that can be used each year
  • select suitable fresh & decorative items to adorn your wreath using garden wire, twine and a glue gun
  • design and execute a beautiful colour themed wreath pulling all the elements together
  • support, share and encourage each other and be respectful of each others personal space, individual designs and styles
  • Work to a time scale ,tidy as you go and follow all health and safety regulations in a classroom situation when using sharp and hazardous material

here will be a selections of twigs branches and fresh foliage to begin your wreath making but feel free to bring your own decorations If you have your own scissors and secateurs bring them along too wire, ribbon, twine & a glue gun will be available for use in the class

This course is funded by the North of Tyne Combined Authority but is also open to residents of other areas.
