Growing your own food - FREE Session

On this short course, we will be looking at easy ways to grow fruit, herbs and vegetables at home, both indoors and outdoors, - on kitchen windowsills, front porches, hanging baskets, balconies, tubs, containers, raised beds and in the ground. You will learn how to extend your growing season so that you can have more of your favourite vegetables, herbs and fruit almost all year round.

Course aim

to provide a brief introduction to the principles of growing your own food with a view to applying them in your own home and garden

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • sow seeds in a variety of containers
  • look after seedlings as they grow.
  • judge plant watering
  • grow food to eat with confidence
