Students will begin to explore how skills, knowledge and experience can impact on teaching and learning in the school environment. Students will consider professional conduct and the requirements held by schools to become a teaching assistant or volunteer.

This online taster is free to London residents who may be considering working towards becoming a Teaching Assistant. Attendance on this taster will lead onto the Level 1 and 2 Teaching Assistant courses due to start in September 2022. Please do enrol early as places on this taster will fill very quickly. By the end of the course I should be able to:
- Describe the skills and qualities required to effectively support teaching and learning
- Identify school’s requirements and procedures for becoming a teaching assistant or volunteer
- Identify next steps on the schools and parenting Pathway

- Nothing else is needed - A selection of materials and basic equipment will be provided but you are welcome to bring additional materials with you - Tutors will suggest sources of additional information where relevant
