Using Microsoft Word to create, save and format documents and feeling more confident using the Microsoft application to help support employability skills.

Course aim

The aim of the course is to gain confidence in the use of Microsoft Word application to create documents and format them and to increase employability skills.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Use the mouse and keyboard, create a document and save and print
  • Insert an image to a document, format and set the page margins and orientation
  • Have a better understanding of the icons on the ribbon and their functions
  • Insert a table and use borders and shadings
  • Create headers and footers and use automatic fields

You will need internet connection, speakers, webcam, a microphone and preferably a laptop, in order to use our platform Zoom. You will also need your personal email address to join the WEA's learning platform.
