We will also consider the documentary and archaeological evidence that add to our understanding of the castle and how it was connected to events, great and small in English history. We will ask how the uses of the castle has changed with time and also consider how it has been interpreted in terms of architecture, history and art. The meeting point is the entrance to Eynsford Castle, off High Street, Eynsford, Kent, DA4 0AA
