NCFE Level 1 Certificate in Customer Service

The primary purpose of this qualification is to develop the skills and knowledge you’ll need to be able to work effectively in a customer service role. You’ll develop your skills in communication, learn how to resolve queries and meet customers’ needs, and build up your knowledge of the principles and practice of customer service. This course will be delivered online via Zoom using a variety of interesting online tools and will equip learners with the confidence to apply for roles work in the rapidly growing customer service sector.

Course aim

NCFE Level 1 Certificate in Customer Service. The Level 1 Certificate in Customer Service is a competence-based qualification designed for learners who have an interest in working in a customer services role.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for beginners and improvers
  • Before you can join this course you will need to talk to a member of staff and do an initial assessment to make sure the course is right for you. Please call the Student Support Team on 0300 303 3464
  • Organisations recruiting for Customer Service roles want candidates with strong "people skills" - so if you consider yourself to be a "people person" and have good all round communication skills this course could be ideal for you.

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Understand and use techniques relating to the delivery of first class customer service
  • Demonstrate a strong knowledge of the underpinning principles and practice of customer service in a realistic working environment
  • Possess skills and confidence required to confidently handle customer complaints
  • Understand the primary legal and ethical considerations when communicating with customers verbally or in writing
  • Understand the consequences of not delivering consistently high level of customer service to customers

This course will be delivered online using Zoom - but don't not let this put you off if you're not familiar with Zoom - learners will quickly get to grips with a range of user-friendly digital tools. Leaners will need Wi-Fi and have access to a tablet or a PC for this course.
