Presentations will include: Dvorak and the nineteenth century. Rhapsody in Blue and Art Deco. Leonard Bernstein and the New York School. Philip Glass and Post Modernism.
Course aim
The aim of this day school is to introduce the music, architecture and visual arts of New York in a sequence of multi-media presentations.

By the end of the course I should be able to:
- recognise and identify selected examples of visual arts.
- identify and recognise significant musical examples
- place artworks in historical contexts
- participate in critical discussions
- participate in analytical discussions.
