IT/Digital Skills – Excel for Beginners and Power-point

This beginners / improvers course is designed to help build confidence in your ability to use the fundamentals of PowerPoint and Excel. Developing skills and independence in using the software, whilst thinking about returning to work.

Course aim

To develop your confidence and help you feel more capable in your ability to create spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel and presentations in PowerPoint using Office 2010.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for beginners and improvers
  • You must be fully proficient with keyboard and mouse skills and finding your way around your computer. Saving, editing etc.

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Create simple spreadsheets using formulae and functions in Excel.
  • Sort and filter data in Excel spreadsheets to produce more meaningful information.
  • Produce a simple graph.
  • Create, Edit, View and Present a PowerPoint Presentation.
  • Use Slide Master and Speakers Notes.
