Do you love Italy and its culture? If the answer is yes, then learn with us! If you have a basic grounding in Italian, this course will help build your Italian vocabulary and give you the skills to talk about present, past and future events. You will also explore Italy's culture including music, art, lifestyle and cuisine. By learning with a qualified, native speaking tutor you will quickly improve your Italian! Our learning environment is friendly and welcoming. Your tutor will cater to all students by using a variety of learning activities that will build your skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing.
Course aim
An improvers course in Italian language and culture. By the end of the course students will be able to hold conversations, understand day-to-day Italian and will have developed a good understanding of Italian customs and traditions.
Do I need any particular skills or experience?
- This course is for improvers
By the end of the course I should be able to:
- Make a complain in a hotel using relevant vocabulary.
- Talk about future events using the future tense.
- Describe a city using relevant vocabulary and grammar e.g. adjectives
- Use prepositions in sentences to give greater depth to descriptions
What else do I need to know?
You will need an internet connection, speakers, a microphone and a webcam so that you can use Zoom. You will need a personal email address to join the WEA’s digital learning platform, Canvas so that you can receive resources, record your progress and achievement.
