Being able to sew well by hand will allow you to finish every project you make in the cleanest and professional looking way. Hand sewing is also the best way to mend and do repairs, whilst hand sewing also improves your fine motor skills

Do I need any particular skills or experience?
- This course is for beginners and improvers
By the end of the course I should be able to:
- Understand appropriate tools for hand sewing and their safe use
- Thread the hand sewing needle correctly in order to start and finish the seam
- Recognise common hand sewing seams and their names and uses
- Develop skills on different hand embroidery stitches
- Use developed skills to be able to combine machine and hand sewing techniques
What else do I need to know?
Sewing machines and basic sewing room tools are provided, but it is advised to bring own sewing kit
