Practical Art: An Exploration of Colour

Ref: C2347068

This course will follow the historical and theoretical journey of pigment from mineral to artists' palette. We will be addressing the beginnings of pigments to current synthetic colours. Studying the colour wheel. Developing an understanding of colour therapy. And then using this knowledge to form the basis for some practical colour mixing and applications. This course will appeal to those who would like to nurture their alchemistic sides in order to develop in their creativity. We will be looking at various artists for whom colour forms very much of their creative repertoire. And through practical application and technique, creating some splendid colourful pieces of art work.
