This course will introduce you to simple methods of creating your own books. Learn how to make a book from a single sheet of paper! You will also be shown how to make covers for some of your books.

Course aim

Learn to make your own sketchbook or journal and add a cover using your own decorative papers.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Acquire and begin to develop craft skills and techniques for making a range of small books

Mmaterials required: Paper - photocopy paper is ideal to practice. Cartridge paper is also good Some of your own decorative papers or gift wrap Scissors or craft knife and ruler Glue - PVA or pritt stick type glue Thin card or mount board
