Do you love Italy and its culture? If the answer is yes, then learn with us! During this course you will learn the key phrases to get by when you are greeting people, shopping and eating out. You will also explore Italy's culture including music, art, lifestyle and cuisine. By learning with a qualified, native speaking tutor you will quickly improve your Italian! Our learning environment is friendly and welcoming. Your tutor will cater to all students by using a variety of learning activities that will build your skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing. Ciao!

Course aim

A beginners course in Italian language and culture. By the end of the course students will be able to hold conversations, understand day-to-day Italian and will have developed a good understanding of Italian customs and traditions.

  • This course is for beginners

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Greet people in Italian.
  • Give basic details about myself and others in Italian.
  • Order food and drink in restaurants in Italian.
  • Ask and say where places are located in Italian.
  • Talk about places, opening times and directions in Italian.

You will need an internet connection, speakers, a microphone and a webcam so that you can use our video learning platform, Zoom. You will need a personal email address to join the WEA’s digital learning platform.
