This beneficial way to exercise combines body movements and mental stimulation. It also helps posture and co-ordination. The gentle and slow movements energise the body without putting undue strain on joints and muscles. Practising regularly will help to relieve stress and tension and increase a sense of wellbeing.
Course aim
To maintain fitness, aid relaxation and improve techniques and performance of Tai Chi and the Qigong forms. Through regular practice progress towards achieving better health.
Do I need any particular skills or experience?
- This course is for improvers
By the end of the course I should be able to:
- Describe at least two benefits in practising the Qigong forms.
- Demonstrate improvement on the movements in the Qigong forms.
- Show improvement in the Tai Chi moves.
- Show greater concentration on both body balance and weight transfer.
- Re-visit and use the breathing and relaxation techniques.
What else do I need to know?
You will need to wear loose unrestricted clothing and wear soft flexible shoes. You may want to bring a drink.
