This course will help you to develop your Digital and Microsoft skills using a range of different applications and to get to grips with how these can be used to assist you in doing administrative tasks independently.

Course aim
The course aims are for the learners to gain confidence using the Microsoft Word and Excel applications.
Do I need any particular skills or experience?
- This course is for improvers
By the end of the course I should be able to:
- Demonstrate how to set up a page layout ie. orientation, margins, text alignment and set line spacing.
- Understand how and when to use headers and footers with automatic fields (date/time, filename etc).
- Demonstrate how to use the search button and replace text. Word count a document.
- Gain the skills to apply formulas (sum, average, max, min) to spreadsheets.
- Produce pie charts, line graphs and bar/column charts.
What else do I need to know?
It would be useful to have PC with Microsoft Office applications, a notebook and pen to make notes.
