This course is designed to support you to develop your everyday computer skills. You will work towards learning the basics of how to use word processing software, spreadsheets software and presentation software. This course will provide you with a simple introduction to using these applications in a relaxed, supportive atmosphere.

Course aim

This course will help you to gain confidence to use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint to create documents, spreadsheets and presentations.

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • use Microsoft Office applications to create a variety of documents
  • use Microsoft Word to enter text, and use the groups on the Ribbon to format a document
  • use Microsoft Excel application to create a spreadsheet and enter text and numbers and use formulas and functions
  • use Microsoft PowerPoint to create a presentation and run a slide show
  • Create a master slide and apply transitions and animations to a presentation

You will need to have a computer with Microsoft Office applications installed. You will have to access Zoom to join this online course.
