This course is designed to deepen our connection with nature and to explore how to express this in an artistic way. There will be some mindfulness/meditative practice walking or being in nature. Creative exercises in drawing and painting and using words. We will look at how various cultures around the world have expressed their relationship with nature through their art. The course is suitable for those with no experience in art and for artists wanting to further develop their practice.
Course aim
This course is for anyone who wants to deepen their connection to nature and explore expressing this in an artistic way. There will be reflective practice, time walking or being in nature and creative exercises.

- This course is for beginners and improvers
By the end of the course I should be able to:
- Use a mindfulness/meditative practice to deepen connection with nature
- Explore various (at least 3) creative exercises for artistic expression
- Explore and give an example of a cultural relationship to nature through art
- Evaluate and apply methods and ways of developing artistic practice
What else do I need to know?
- You will need a sketch book/paper and drawing and painting materials. Various media to explore in the drawing/painting activities
