Course aim

By the end of this course, students will be able to take accurate body measurements, make paper patterns with all the signs and symbols, learn different seams and make a final garment, such as a simple kameez.

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Learn how to do different seams and stitches such as, straight seam, zig zag, French seam and fell & through seam.
  • Learn how to make three different types of necklines such as, square, round and V- shape.
  • Take accurate measurements using basic numeracy skills
  • Make paper patterns using literacy, numeracy and creativity skills.
  • Make a final product of an Asian top called a Kameez
