Felt Making with Karan Fixter

Ref: C2346102

The traditional craft of felting has been used for centuries to make colourful textiles; hard-waring, beautiful natural materials combine to make garments and accessories that require no stitching. You will experiment with colour ways, learn how to make both 2d and 3d felted pieces ranging from individual jewellery items to quirky hats and bags. You will learn how to develop your resist patterns to make your work unique in terms of shape and form. In addition to wet felting techniques you will explore the detailed art of needle punch felting to make small intricate details. No experience or prior knowledge is needed just the time to spend a few hours a week with like minded people, keen to make some funky felt.
