You will learn how to use spreadsheets to perform calculations and project results. You will be able to work through exercises and practice your new skills to create a new spreadsheet and your tutor will always be on hand to give help and guidance.

Course aim

This is a course designed for learners to acquire the skills in using spreadsheet software (Microsoft Office Excel) to use formulae and functions to analyse and interpret data, producing a variety of charts and graphs from existing data.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Understand how to use spreadsheets to solve problems and project results.
  • Using skills learnt, create different types of charts
  • Understand how to create formulae and use common functions.
  • Set page layout - Insert headers and footers with automatic fields.
  • Sort data and associated cells.
