This women-only course is designed to offer a safe and friendly opportunity to discover ways to build your confidence - as you learn practical ways to deal with those everyday situations that can affect our sense of self and well-being. As you come to understand the reasons why - particularly for women - some social interactions can leave you feeling not OK, you will discover it is possible to make changes, to be OK and see yourself and others in a different light. You will learn some straightforward ways to 'manage' difficult moments, emotional behaviour, challenging attitudes (and prejudices!) and the impact of some conversations - even with friends and relations! So - join us to learn how to make effective plans for changes you'd like to make and to look forward to the future as a more confident YOU!
Course aim
Would you like to improve your sense of self-esteem and well-being and to be OK when interacting with others? Then whatever your circumstances,this women only course will help you to build confidence in everyday situations and could change your life!
Do I need any particular skills or experience?
- This course is for beginners and improvers
- THIS IS A WOMEN ONLY COURSE
By the end of the course I should be able to:
- Discuss what makes some social situations difficult to cope with and how to deal with them.
- Use your knowledge of how good communication works to be confident in social interactions
- Draw on your improved 'self-knowledge', sense of identity and well-being in the roles you play in everyday life
- Plan for some of the changes you would like to make in your life
- Join in or consider joining social or community women friendly activities
What else do I need to know?
Everything you need will be provided - sometimes you may be asked to bring in materials (eg articles, poems etc) that you have found -or show-and-tell photos, or objects - for discussion and illustration
