Course aim
The aim of the course is about enjoying learning in a welcoming atmosphere. Learning to research and write through a device, ie mobile phone, computer, or a tablet. Having confidence in using these devices.
Do I need any particular skills or experience?
- This course is for beginners
By the end of the course I should be able to:
- Identify three ways to stay safe using electronic communication.
- Find information about local council department and write a letter of complaint or a letter of praise or a letter making a suggestion
- Prepare a five minute presentation about a book or a film that has been important to you and if you feel able to share it with the class.
- Choose a meal that can be made at home or bought readymade (eg chicken tikka) and compare the portion cost if the food were sourced from a food bank, as ingredients from a shop, a ready meal from a shop or a takeaway.
- Describe five differences between local and national government
What else do I need to know?
Small notebook for personal notes would be recommended
