This course will teach students how to get started with Tunisian Crochet, learning about the techniques and covering a range of the initial stitches including Knit Stitch, Purl Stitch and Simple Stitch. Students will then use these stitches to begin to create some pattern techniques.

Course aim

This course will give students an introduction to Tunisian Crochet techniques, learning how to create a variety of stitches. Students will also gain an insight into following Tunisian Crochet Patterns.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Demonstrate how to use a Tunisian Crochet Hook
  • Describe what a forward pass and a return pass are and how to work them
  • Discover how to follow a Tunisian crochet chart
  • Produce samples using 3 different Tunisian Crochet Stitches

Tunisian Crochet Hook - 4mm or 4.5mm ideally. Double knitting yarn in several colours
