Paul Signac - Colour and Light

Ref: C2345484

Paul Signac's work has an intensity and expressive power that is entirely his own. The brilliance of colour and light are central to his paintings, and to this end he used the technique of 'pointillism' - the use of dots of pure colour applied in such a way that when seen from an appropriated distance they achieve a maximum brilliance of luminosity. In this lecture we explore the work of this enthusiastic and restless man who was a passionate devotee of the light and life of the world around him.
