Have you ever wondered how geoscientists develop their theories on how the Earth formed, changes over time, or even the wider universe? Join an enthusiastic tutor who will lead you through over a thousand years of discoveries in Earth science. Through interactive demonstrations and lectures we will explore these developments and how they have changed science today.

Course aim

This fun and interactive course provides an understanding of how geoscientists have developed the science of geology and their influence on today’s Earth science.

You may wish to refresh your knowledge of geology by reading a simple geology book such as Earth Story by Simon Lamb and David Sington, or watch a re-run of The Rise of the Continents available on BBC iPlayer.
