This course will give you the confidence to use digital skills in your everyday life, and also in the workplace. If you’re not working currently, this course will teach you the skills you need to find and apply for work online. You will learn and practice how to stay safe online, find information, communicate, shop organise digital documents and type a simple text document. You will be able to practice using digital skills in a safe and supportive learning environment, which will increase you confidence and allow you to use digital devices in your life and work.
Course aim
The aim of this qualification is to teach you the essential digital skills that are needed for everyday life, and in the workplace.
Do I need any particular skills or experience?
- This course is for beginners

By the end of the course I should be able to:
- be safe and responsible online and on digital devices
- use digital devices to effectively search for information online
- create, edit and store digital files
- communicate with others online
- understand how to buy goods and services online safely
How will I be taught?
- There are assessments to be taken at the end of the course.
What kind of feedback can I expect?
- You will have opportunities to discuss your progress with your tutor

- It would be helpful if you had access to the internet (Mobile phone, tablet or computer at home or through a library etc.)
