This course is fully online with no physical meeting space, accessing the course through Canvas our virtual learning environment and zoom a video conferencing software. You will need a reliable internet connection, access to a computer or internet linked device with camera and microphone. We will be email you links to canvas and zoom, please accept these to access the course, the sender will show as “instructure”, without these you will not be able to access the course. It is a good idea to do this with time before the course so if you are having issues you can contact us to make us aware. A fun filled session of essential oil education discovering what an essential oil is and why purity is important. Learn how to make cleaning products for your home more cheaply than buying chemical products. There is a follow up course to delve deeper into the different ways of using these amazing gifts of the earth.
Course aim
Explore the connection between the aroma and natural chemical properties of pure essential oils and health. You will understand what Essential Oils are and how they can be used cheaply and effectively to reduce the toxic load in your home.
Do I need any particular skills or experience?
- This course is for a group of around 15 students studying in a live video-learning platform conference and an online digital learning environment platform from the comfort of your own home.

By the end of the course I should be able to:
- Know what an essential oil is and why purity is important
- understand why essential oils can have a positive impact on our emotions
- understand the importance of dilution when using oils.
How will I be taught?
- The WEA’s digital learning platform, Canvas will be used to provide resources or to support lessons, enable assessment, provide learner feedback and for other activities for individuals away from the course.
