This course is for people who recognise that anger and irritability are adversely affecting their daily lives. It will explore the triggers, how they affect you and coping tools to reduce the impact anger has on your life and relationships. This course aims to build your confidence and self-esteem and to remove the stress caused by anger.
Course aim
To support learners who have experienced issues with anger and irritability, to make them aware of coping strategies and tools that may reduce the impact of anger on their daily lives.
Do I need any particular skills or experience?
- No skills or experience needed
By the end of the course I should be able to:
- Identify a way anger and irritability affects me.
- Listen to and recognise how the 4 coping tools can be used to help me with stressful situations.
- Recognise 2 triggers and warning signs that affect me.
- Recognise 1 strategy to stop arguments and improve relationships.
How will I be taught?
- The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning
- You may be asked to undertake additional work in your own time to support your learning
What kind of feedback can I expect?
- A range of informal activities will be used by the tutor to see what you are learning which may include quizzes, question and answer, small projects and discussion
- You will be encouraged to share your work with the group and discuss your learning
What else do I need to know?
- All materials will be provided
- It may be useful to bring a notepad and pen to take notes for future reference.
