The Christmas wreath workshop will enable you to create your own xmas wreath using a selection of fresh greenery and fern cones but you can also bring your own decorative materials for a more personal design and style. Once you have gained the skills and technical knowledge you will be able to make them again and again for special occasions and gifts

Get into the festive spirit and learn the skills to create your own xmas wreath using fresh or decorative materials
Do I need any particular skills or experience?
- This course is suitable for beginners and improvers
By the end of the course I should be able to:
- Gain the knowledge of suitable materials needed for this project
- Learn how to attach different materials and objects to your xmas wreath adding individual detail and style
- Learn from each other when designing and creating,respect and appreciate each others different style and taste
- Discover the advantages of meeting with like minded and creative people and the positive advantages of well being when creating something that makes you and others happy
- Follow all health and safety regulations when working with sharp tools and equipment in a classroom enviroment
How will I be taught?
- You may be asked to undertake additional work in your own time to support your learning
What kind of feedback can I expect?
- You will be able to keep a digital portfolio of your work on WEA’s digital learning platform, Canvas.
- You will have opportunities to discuss your progress with your tutor
- You will be encouraged to share your work with the group and discuss your learning
What else do I need to know?
- A selection of materials and basic equipment will be provided but you are welcome to bring additional materials with you
Pre-course work, reading and information sources
- No pre reading is required but research on the subject on the internet or in the library may be helpful

- Progress to another WEA course
- Become involved as a volunteer for a WEA partner or another organisation
