Film Studies: The Big Picture - Epics, Musicals and Blockbusters

Ref: C3673218

Putting focus on the cinema of heavy promotion, high expectation, and not always towering success, we examine a selection of ‘big pictures’, is it all ‘just’ throw away entertainment or is there also room for genuine artistic comment? We take time to discuss the key aspects behind and surrounding their productions - do some reveal far more about their audiences than one might think?
