Day School: The Four Romanov Grand Duchesses

Ref: C3741588

In July 1918 the Tsar Nicholas II, his wife, his son, and daughters were murdered by the Bolsheviks in Ekaterinburg. Until recently, little attention has been paid to the four daughters, but recent work on Olga, Tatiana, Maria, and Anastasia Romanova has shown them to be fascinating young women with very different characters but a common devotion to each other. As a recognition of their courage and their undeserved suffering, they have been made saints in the Russian Orthodox Church.
